Your fret board diagram shows the C Major Chord G Shape on the 8th Fret.  Should it not be on the fifth fret? Thank you.

I wouldn't like to say, it's quite a jump. I guess you could try tuning down instead or try a different key and use a capo. These would be the alternatives... B G# B G# D# E C A C A E F...
